How did you get into yoga? Why did you start practicing?
I began yoga as a way to de-stress after long hours in the Emergency. Being an ER nurse you see good and bad.. and as a way to steady the mind I began my asana and meditation practice. This was almost 12 years ago.
What made you want to become a yoga teacher ?
Also being a nurse, I have seen many preventable disease! I began helping teach others a healthy lifestyle through yoga. I enjoy not only teaching the physical aspect but also enjoy teaching the mindfulness.. I look at it as a preventative measure. A fusion between western and eastern medicine.
What or Who inspired you everyday?
I am inspired by so many people on a daily! I find a lot of inspiration through the Instagram yoga community! So many amazing yogis!
What kind of yoga styles do you practice?
I love vinyasa! I love the freedom of the flows and practice.
What has been your biggest Yoga Experience up to date?
I would say my teacher certification. We had a very intensive course and one in which we all made a life long bond!
What advice would you give to someone just starting its yoga journey?
It’s all about trusting the process! Little by little.. trust in yourself and most importantly listen to your body never push past its limits.. practice safely.
