So wear comfortable clothes as well as keep some cushions with you, so that when you feel needed you can take them.
Set some time to meditate. 10 minutes will be good in the initial days. Do not keep an 1 hour time at all. Gradually extend your time. It would be nice if you set a timer. Then you will not have to watch the clock again and again. But take care of one thing that the end of your meditation will not a disturbance. So, set a timer for a soft music.
Some people say that sitting in lotus pose is meditation, but there is nothing like that. You can meditate even by sitting on the chair. There is no definitive way to do it.
Whenever you start to meditate, it is natural to not be stagnant in the beginning. You start thinking of your past, and future. But gradually you learn to meditate. Take deep breaths while doing meditation. Feel your breath inhaling and exhaling activity throughout your body. Slowly understand this that no thoughts will dominate you and you will be able to do meditation very well.
