Transform your Yoga practice through the 5 elements.
Have you ever asked yourself: why don´t I auto-practice at home after taking hundreds of classes in a studio?
Maybe you decided to study a formation to learn more about the technique parts in order to gain confidence but you still continue without practicing by yourself?
Are you listening to your own nature or are you clinging to much to what others say, without trusting what the inherent intelligence of your cells have to say?
When we initiate ourselves in Yoga, there´s a thirst of change in some way, change on ourselves, change in our day by day, change of rhythm, change on how we see things. We feel that something is driving us into learning more about Yoga but at the end we remind where we were.
The intelligence that propelled us to life makes its call again to continue its natural transformation. And what are we doing?
Resist. Maybe, the urge to learn, the need to be perfect among others…
Maybe, we aloud being distracted by all those modern life stimulus that disconnect us from ourselves.
Even after taking the decision to initiate ourselves in Yoga, perhaps, we are remaining at the surface.
Have you heard about Ayurveda?
It is “the science or knowledge of life”, it is the traditional medical system of India. It is the art of living quotidian life in harmony with the laws of nature. Ayurveda is based on illness being the natural way (normal) that the body has of communicating the lack of harmony with our environment. Understanding this, we believe that Ayurveda help us reestablish the harmony with the environment in a personalized way. Due to that, we have to take into consideration the five senses: taste (diet), vision (color), sound (mantras), smell (aromatherapy), skin (oils), mind (yoga), along with specialized treatments for the mind, the corporal purification and the rejuvenation.
Yoga and Ayurveda have similar principals, both make the effort to help us connect with our own nature through direct experience.
In Ayurveda, the knowledge of the 5 elements, ether (space), air, fire, water and earth is an essential part, being these, universal energies in charge of the individual construction of each person. If we reach to understand the elements, we will be able to open the doorstep to the own comprehension of creation. In the body and in the mind the elements associate with certain fabrics or characteristics of personality.
Being able to integrate these two sciences in our diary lives is very important because we will be reconnecting with the cycles of nature that pulse in our interior since the moment of our creation.
It is for this reason that maybe, we were just remaining in the surface of the practice. Resisting to go in depth in the intelligence of our existence.
Now is the moment to learn how to listen, feel and experience us. From there, the importance of knowing more ourselves and thus, create a more personalized practice, connected to the natural rhythm in our quotidian lives, without more excuses, without so many obstacles.
Because we will know how to flow with the seasons, adapting to each of their changes. Because change happens, therefore, lets learn a bit more about the qualities that make us change.
